I’m so excited to be writing this – my first haul! Finally, I have found a community of people who are interested in hearing (or even better, reading) my ramblings about my latest makeup purchases.
I don’t think I went too crazy for my first haul, but I’m pretty pleased with everything I got and I can’t wait to start playing with it all.
The first parcel I received was from Model’s Own. The new Iconic London Sculpt & Boost Eyebrow cushion has been all over the Internet, but I can’t quite justify the price tag that comes along with the brand. So instead I decided to get my hands on the Brow Tattoo Kit from Model’s Own to give cushion brow a go! (Check out my review over here).
I was also super impressed when I opened the box, as Model’s Own actually threw in one of their Colour Chrome Eyeshadow Kits in the shade 07 for free ! I was actually debating getting one but didn’t go for it in the end, so finding one in the box was a lovely surprise! Looking forward to trying both of these.
The second order to arrive was my Beauty Bay one. Now, the problem with the Beauty Bay sale, like many others, is that it lasted the whole week, and payday was only on Friday. By Tuesday, half the products I had in my cart were gone! I still managed to get my hands on a few products I had been lusting over for a while.
- Ofra Glow Baby, Glow! Highlighter Glazed Donut
- Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick Manila
- Morphe E47 Elite II Small Angled Contour Brush
- Milani Baked Blush Luminoso
And, yes, this was definitely a case of Nikkietutorials made me do it.
Next up, my Urban Decay parcel. I only got two items which I had been wanting for ages, and the 20% definitely convinced me I needed them. I got the Moondust palette, just in time for my work’s Christmas party, and the Naked Skin Foundation in 0.5 (reviewed here). I’ll definitely try and have a review up for that one soon.
Ok, so my purchases didn’t stop at Black Friday. I popped into Boots and Superdrug this week to pick up some lashes for my work do, and came out with a few extra bits.
I got the Ardell Natural Lashes in 105, as I had never tried the brand and they were discounted. I also got:
- Vitamin E Leave On Moisture Mask
- Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme de Rose
- Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter Starlight
- Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops At First Light
- Blistex Lip Balm
- Nyx Glitter Glue
I’ll be reviewing a lot of these products over the next few weeks, so I’ll be adding links as I post them.
Apart from makeup, I also grabbed a Blu-Ray player, as well as what I may consider the most exciting thing from this whole haul – my Christmas decorations! It’s my seventh year living out of my parents’ home, and the first year I’ll be decorating! Debenhams were offering a discount on their decorations, so I can’t wait to get my tree all set up, and share my pictures with you!
What did you get this Black Friday? Let me know in the comments below.
